Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and strategic IT Performance Lead Terminal to provide high-level oversight for the IT performance of a portfolio of terminals within our global operations. This role is about being the strategic interface between our central IT department and Local terminal IT teams. You'll serve as the go-to expert for our terminals, ensuring our global IT standards are met, driving performance excellence, and acting as a key stakeholder in IT governance and strategic initiatives, with a focus on financial oversight for IT investments and run costs.
Responsibilities
- High-Level Performance Monitoring: Monitor the overall IT performance and health of assigned terminals using key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards. Focus on trends, service availability, and operational efficiency rather than individual incidents.
- Strategic Governance: Ensure that terminal IT teams align with corporate IT policies, security standards, and architectural guidelines. Act as a governance partner.
- Value-Creation Projects: Identify and propose projects where Head Office's contribution can create significant value for the terminals. This includes initiatives that leverage central resources, expertise, or economies of scale to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, or enhance security.
- Budget Management (CAPEX/OPEX): Actively participate in the CAPEX and OPEX budget planning process for your portfolio of terminals. You'll be responsible for tracking expenditures, ensuring projects stay within budget, and providing financial forecasts.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for terminal managers and local IT leaders. Foster strong relationships and communicate strategic IT goals, project updates, and performance insights effectively.
- Incident and Problem Oversight: Oversee the resolution of significant, high-impact IT issues that affect multiple terminals or require corporate-level intervention. You'll ensure problems are addressed effectively by local teams and that root causes are identified and documented for future prevention.
- Project and Program Coordination: Coordinate strategic IT projects across your portfolio, such as major system upgrades, technology standardization initiatives, or the rollout of new global platforms. You'll act as the liaison between the project teams and the terminal stakeholders.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and present high-level performance reports to senior management. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve overall IT reliability and efficiency across the terminal portfolio.
- Best Practices and Innovation: Identify and promote the adoption of best practices and innovative technologies from one terminal to others. Facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the global network.
- Collaborate to M&A/Tender IT Activities on your perimeter.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in IT management, portfolio management, or a similar high-level oversight role. Experience with budget planning and financial oversight is essential. Experience within the logistics, ports, or global terminal industry is highly desirable.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to think strategically and focus on long-term goals and systemic improvements rather than day-to-day tasks.
- Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of IT financial management , including CAPEX and OPEX cycles , cost analysis, and return on investment (ROI).
- Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, and security principles. While you won't be hands-on, you must be able to understand complex technical challenges and their business impact.
- Exceptional Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You must be able to influence without direct authority and translate technical and financial concepts into business terms for C-level executives and non-technical managers.
- Organizational Skills: Superior organizational and analytical skills to manage diverse projects, data sets, and budgets across a distributed, autonomous network.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages relevant to our global operations is a plus.
