YOUR ROLE

Within the CAPEX & OPEX Controlling team, you actively contribute to the monitoring and analysis of the financial performance of the Ship Management activity. You help ensure the reliability and financial consistency of operational data and produce analyses that support decision-making for operational teams and management.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Key responsibilities – Financial closings & reviews with operational teams

• Management of a CAPEX project portfolio (retrofit)
  You are responsible for activities related to the monthly closing process, in order to prepare and secure financial reviews with project managers. You ensure the reliability of financial data and monitor costs per project.

• Integration and control of crew-related expenses
  You contribute to the integration of crew-related expenses from operational systems into accounting systems. You verify the accuracy of the data integration, identify potential anomalies, and alert the manager in case of deviations impacting OPEX cost categories.

Other responsibilities (outside closing periods)

• Communication and reliability of the fleet reference database
  You are responsible for communicating the fleet reference data used by Finance teams (OPEX, CAPEX) as well as by Shared Service Centers. You prepare a monthly reporting slide for CMA Ships management, summarizing the fleet mapping and the various Ship Management stakeholders

• Interface with Shared Service Centers
  You act as a key point of contact with Shared Service Centers to review and support the proper accounting and integration of selected invoices received from the Group’s agency network

• Support to reporting tool development projects
  You may support projects related to the development of OPEX & CAPEX reporting tools, particularly during:
  • testing phases,
  • consistency checks,
  • secondary controls on the quality of integrated data

• Ad hoc studies and cost analyses
  You perform targeted analyses based on identified cost drivers, including:
  • in-depth analysis of actuals by cost category (travel, manning fees, medical, miscellaneous, crewing)
  • assessment of the impact of the agency mix on crewing costs
  • contribution to the drafting and updating of processes and working guidelines

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You hold (or are preparing) a Master’s degree (M2) in Finance, Accounting, Management, or Business
• A first short experience in controlling and/or audit would be an asset
• You have strong IT and office skills, particularly advanced Excel proficiency
• Your analytical mindset and organizational skills, combined with strong interpersonal abilities, will be key to succeeding in this role
• You have an operational level of English
