You will join the Navigation systems design office team that is responsible for the design, development, integration and certification of Navigation Systems on all Airbus Helicopters platforms. It includes flight management systems, inertial and air data systems, and localization systems, in particular satellite-based navigation systems (e.g. GNSS)

As a Navigation Systems Architect , you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that cover the full product lifecycle including specification, development, modification, in-service support and research.

You main tasks in this position:

• Define Operational use cases and concepts for navigation functions
• Define and/or assess an architecture concept and its physical integration into the H/C
• Propose navigation systems architecture, resulting from trade-off, based on constraints and all others influencing criteria (safety/availability, compliance to customer needs, cost/weight/volume, re-use, family concept, industrial strategy /partnerships, ...)
• Propose associated development logics for navigation systems, taking into account HC constraints
• Master the integration & validation of the design, drive and follow V&V strategy on different programs
• Support/coach less experienced engineers in making technical choices on different programs. In particular, ensure the transfer of the know-how, alleviate the work of the expert and ensure the technical consistency across programs

Your skills/experience:

• a significant multi-program experience of Avionics systems development
• A strong technical leadership in the field of navigation systems & the ability to understand the overall H/C,
• A significant experience (>10 years) in development of complex navigation systems
• A good knowledge of SE/MBSE principles
